This Privacy Policy applies to You Have a Thing, a macOS app by Low Gravitas.
The short version
You Have a Thing runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, transmit, store off-device, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. We never see your data, because it never leaves your computer.
Calendar access
The app uses macOS Calendar access (EventKit) to read your upcoming events so it can show them in the menu bar and remind you before they start. This happens locally on your device. Your events, their titles, attendees, and links are never sent anywhere — not to us, not to anyone. You can grant or revoke calendar access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
What’s stored, and where
Your preferences — settings, notification thresholds, themes — are stored locally on your Mac (in standard macOS preferences). They are not synced to a cloud service by the app and are not transmitted anywhere.
Network use
The app makes no network connections of its own. When you click Join on a meeting, the app asks macOS to open that meeting’s link in your default web browser; from that point your browser and the meeting provider handle the connection, under their own privacy policies.
No tracking, no third parties
You Have a Thing contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
